The "Bromley Repeater Group" was formed by Tony, G1HIG who has been the driving force behind the success of its repeaters. It was formed in August 2004 as a managed non-committee style user group which is constantly expanding. Individuals and volunteers give their time and resources freely to assist Tony in various ways with the upkeep of the group's. Repeaters GB7OK Yaesu Wires-X and GB7LO UHF Repeaters are both DV repeaters which cover London, Essex and North West Kent.

Both repeaters are now located in Beckenham which is a town in the Greater London area of England, within the London Borough of Bromley. It borders Beckenham Place Park and Bellingham in the London Borough of Lewisham.
